“ENGLISH CENTRE” *Silver Jubilee*
(25th Anniversary)
The history of my English Centre and
My Educational Life
(You are requested to read)
On January 5, 2022, my "English Centre" completes its 25th year. Twenty-five years ago, on January 5, 1998, I started teaching with 4 students. The first day started with 4 students but in January teaching started with 2 batches with 65 students. Then I did not have to look back.

My education and purpose in life I started my education at home to my parents and with the help of my brothers. Then from Anishmali Purba Para Primary School (next to my house) I passed Class IV and I was admitted to Class V at Sarishadanga Dr. Shyama Prosad High School (H.S.) and in 1996 after passing Madhyamik I took my H.S. (Class XI-XII) education from Ranaghat College. At that time, classes XI and XII were taught in both schools and colleges, but I was admitted to Ranaghat College in the hope of learning English from the professors. I passed Higher Secondary Examinations in 1998 and at that time I got the highest marks among the boys at Ranaghat College (what was informed from the office while taking the mark sheet) and one of my friends got the highest marks among the girls (what was informed from the office while taking the mark sheet). Teacher Samirada gave me two pens as a gift and my friend for top results in the area. At that time English Honours course was not offered at Ranaghat College. So, I was admitted to Bangaon Dinabandhu Mahavidyala (Affliated to Calcutta University). Gradually I completed master degree (M.A.) in English and D.E.L.T. Course. It is not possible to express in words the contribution of my dada Sukumar Ghosh in learning English. Why my aim was not to get service When I was in college for completing my H.S. course, my friends used to talk about different things. There were discussions about English and many of my friends were afraid of English and later many of them had to quit studying for the fear of English. I thought deeply about it, and I was shocked that many of my friends disappeared from the world of study. From there a stubbornness arose in my mind - I had to think hard about this and find a solution. How to solve students’ problems in English and how they can make good results in English, learn English well and get higher education later, how to succeed in various competitive exams. While thinking about this, my students did well in the Madhyamik Examinations, they got good marks in English - Inspired by their results and the words of many educators and conscious guardians, I pledged to try to overcome the students' problems with English, and I succeeded in removing their fear. That's how the teaching of English and the influence of my "English Centre" continued. So I didn't think about getting a job since then. My students will take higher education, will get a job and possess a good place - for this purpose I started teaching English.
Although I did not try to get a job, my only dream was for my students to get to a higher place if they could get a job. That's why I didn't try to get the job myself. My students will make good results and they'll get to better places, I'll be happy with their success, I spend more time with them, I'll spend my life thinking about my students in future. There is no other aim in my life.
The purpose of establishing "English Centre"
I set up "English Centre" on January 5, 1998, keeping in mind the needs of the students in the area, so that students could learn English and make good results in English. At that time students in the area were terrified of English subject. I thought that the fear of English language should be removed from their minds so that they could learn English in a simple way. I set up "English Centre" for that purpose and I was able to completely remove the fear of English language from the minds of all the students who have studied at my centre.
Not only did the students get good marks in the exams but the purpose was to set up an "English Centre" for them so that they could learn English. Prior to 1998 and 1998-1999, most students went out of the area to study English, but within a year or two of the establishment of the English Centre, it stopped and students began to rely on the English Centre.
Although teaching started with 4 students, I have had the opportunity to teach more than 10 thousand 763 students from 29 schools and 88 (eighty eight) villages at English Centre till 05.01.2022. Most of the students are established today and everyone is doing well every year. I took various steps to inspire them. For the purpose of improving their education, I have written six books so far for the improvement of English education, so that they have benefited tremendously and it is my firm belief that they will get benefit in future.

Criticism and its response: At first many criticized in different ways - the result of English Centre would not be good but in that year i.e. in 1998 my 2 students got highest marks in English among all the schools in the area and spread the name of English centre around. In 1998, the number of Madhyamik examinees in my English Centre was 29. The following year, in 1999, there were 51 Madhyamik examinees who surprised everyone with their best results in English. The following year, in 2000, there were 138 candidates for the secondary examination and 73 candidates for the higher secondary examination who made the best results in the area and spread the name of the English centre far and wide. However, teaching continued in this way.

The world of reading to end:
TilI 1998, H.S.English Syllabus acted like a ghost scare. Every H.S Candidate would spend their days in a panic about English and most of the students failed in English subject in the H.S. Exams and they would not be able to continue their studies, meaning their studies ended. This matter shocked me terribly. Then I began to teach with love, affection and used to discuss the lesson repeatedly so students could understand and I started ruling with sticks. Many of them did not come to study after their test exams being feared. All those who came, passed with good marks and all those who did not come failed in English. I have proved that everyone would study if strict rules are applied with love and affection.
First I bade farewell to students:
Usually every year Secondary Examination (Madhyamik) is held before Higher Secondary Examination. Students would enter a new chapter in life after high school I organized the first farewell programme in 1998, which no one in the area had ever done before. Since then, the practice of bidding farewell of students was introduced because in 1998, when I was the candidate of Higher Secondary Examination, we were not given any farewell. That is, the practice of farewell was not introduced in the area till 1998. So it is unknown to me any tutor bade farewell to students before 1998.
About 7,000 students have been photographed:
I arranged to take pictures on Farewell Day to keep as a memento. It was not possible to take pictures in the first few years as there was no studio in the area. There are photographs of the following years (about 7,000 students have been photographed as a memento.) In 2021, no farewell was given for not arranging the exam due to COVID 19 / Corona virus and no pictures were taken (Miss you all).

Start teaching at the right time:
‘Time’ is the most precious thing in life. So from the beginning I put more emphasis on ‘time’. Then many private tutors (I am not belittling anyone, I respect everyone - I respect everyone, I do not want to belittle anyone) My sincere congratulations to all private tutors. However, I would like to apologize in advance if I am hurting.) declared that they would start teaching at 6 in the morning, but they used to start at 6:30 and at 4 in the afternoon, used to start at 4:30 in the afternoon, but I broke this irregularity considering all aspects. I used to start teaching at the right time (declared as earlier). And yet I start teaching at the right time. To this day, I have not developed the mentality of being ‘NO LATE’ 5 minutes late without any special reason.

My announcement in 1998:
In order to inspire the students, I announced on the very first day on 5th January, 1998 - I would give a certificate from the English Centre if students get 90% marks after adding all the examination marks at the end of the session And if the secondary (Madhyamik) and Higher Secondary students get letter marks (80 or 80+) in English, I would felicitate through the programmme. In this situation, I (with Samir Dutt Dada, Prabir Roy, Joynal Abedin Mandal jointly) organized "Srishti Talent Search Exam" and now I have started giving felicitation to all those students at the award ceremony of "Srishti Talent Search Exam".
New announcment on 25th anniversary in 2022:
Students who have completed or will complete Honours or Master Degree in English will also be officially felicitated. In addition, if the students play a special role in the society, I will give an official felicitation on behalf of my English Centre. Farewell Day Why the same dress every year: The day I bade farewell in 1998, my students said, "Dada, after this dress, we find you as an ideal teacher. Look, this dress will bring luck for us." Incidentally everyone did very well in exam which they could never have imagined. From then on, I bid farewell wearing the same clothes (same color navy-blue pants & shirt) and everyone does well in the exam. Whether it is reform or superstition, I never felt the need to think about it, let's get going. Publication of my books: My first book, “Father of Tense and Sentence” was published in 2006 for the interest of all students. Then, for the secondary examinees (Madhyamik candidates class IX & X) I published the book "Automatic Success on Poems." Although the students' problems with grammar were solved, I noticed a lot of problems regarding writing skills and after a long research on how to teach writing skills to students in a simple way, I published the book "Step to English" for classes VII to X in 2013.
Then in that year I published the book "Way to English" with the aim of inspiring the students of class XI and XII in securing good results and they could master the English subject well. Many students still had problems with grammar in that year, so they had a lot of problems to understand, so I published the book "Shortcut of English Grammar".
After a long period of research, I published my long-term dream book "English Grammar Innovation" in 2021, keeping in mind the needs of primary school students, high school students, college and university students, and job-seeking students. This book will change all the ideas of learning English because breaking the conventional rules of English grammar I have introduced my thoughts and research on this book. I firmly believe that the book "English Grammar Innovation" will revolutionize in learning English grammar and this book will change idea of learning English.

New book written by me
I have been researching for a long time on how to teach writing skills to students in a simpler way and I will publish a new book on writing skills soon. Writing in progress, wait for a few more days.

Important events in my life:
I joined as a guest teacher at Sarishadanga Dr. Shyamaprosad High School (H.S.) on 17th August, 2018. For this I would like to thank all the teachers including the Headmaster and the school managing committee (especially the secretary - I do not mention the names out of respect for all). After teaching there for a long time, the educational institution was closed due to Corona, then the work had postponed. In 2020, an important event happened in my education life. In 2020 Delhi based K.I.T.E.S. awarded me the "Education Excellence Award 2020"– “Award for Contribution to Student Development” for providing various innovative informations on improvement and education of students.
. In the following year I was given the opportunity to participate again and in 2021 for the second time I received the "Education Excellence Award 2021" -“Award for Contribution to Education Community”. This year I received the "All India Conference 2021" award in the All India Conference cum Competition.
For a long time now I have been researching the education system of different countries including my great country India. In October 2021, World Genius Records, Nigeria and India Wing (Education Organization) jointly honoured me with the "Inspirational Educator Award" for my contribution to the world of education.
In 2020 (for receiving the “Education Excellence Award 2020”), K.I.T.E.S. Education included me in their group and through K.I.T.E.S. Education Group, I am grateful to K.I.T.E.S. for giving me the opportunity to discuss and research education and education system in different countries for 3 years. - K.I.T.E.S. Education includes 500+ national and international mentors, 2000+ educators, 400+ (Ideas) and 75+ countries.
In 2021, I received a certificate as an award in the essay writing competition by providing information on "Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose", "Khudiram Bose" organized by "Voice of Freedom". I was overwhelmed by the success of being a member of the Voice of Freedom magazine (webzine). Regular writing for the magazine is going on.

However, one regret : due to Covid19 (Corona virus), I could not receive the awards directly on the stage held in Delhi (2 times), Punjab, Mumbai and Goa.

Service or selfless work
It hurts my humanity to let everyone know that Iam doing some selfless works, but here I am pointing out something that many people want to know, so I am apologizing to everyone in advance for promoting service or selfless work.
Through K.I.T.E.S.Education we have been exchanging various informations on education selflessly. The information provided by us is being used by various educational institutions in the world to provide free education to those who are lagging behind in education due to financial reasons. Different educational organizations provide different awards and certificates with the financial support of different sponsors. Many many thanks to K.I.T.E.S. Education for not taking any financial help from us in this case.
I have been helping many students through my website free of cost. I am constantly solving many problems of students from different countries including India and all the districts of our state through online (Facebook, WhatsApp, phone call). My website (www.englishcentre.page4.me) has been visited by two lac, thirty eight thousand one hundred and twenty sis (2,38,126) people all over the world till 05.01.2022 and they have collected a lot of information and I am providing a lot of information through phone calls. Many many learnes all over the world also collecting information from my Facebook page “Ask Question on English Grammar” and they contact me whenever they need.

My contributions at the national and international level:
In 2021, I was given the opportunity to participate in various conferences at National and International levels and express my views, and through a competition there, I won some awards and some certificates at National and International levels.
I then completed the teacher-training that was arranged by Google for teachers (I got the training completion certificate from Google) and a few days later a training for teachers was arranged from the Microsoft company and I also completed that training (I got the training completion certificate from Microsoft).
In 202O, I have been awarded a certificate by ZIIEI (Sri Arobindo Society, associated with HDFC Bank) for providing various innovative information on English grammar.
KITES also honoured me with a special award “KITES WISDOM AWARD” and “YUVA INNOVATIVE EDUCATOR AWARD” with Dr. Rania Lampou of Greece, Prof. Ruben Gracia of Peru, Prof. Queen Elizabeth Lucas of the United Kingdom, Edward Probir Mondal of Canada, Prof. Dr. Dragan Jovanov of Macedonia, Prof. Nada Ratkovic of Croatia, on November 20, 2021 based on providing information on English teaching.
Some of my steps In the interest of improving the education of the students of Anishmali and surrounding villages, I along with 5 tutors established "Unique Coaching Centre" in 2002. The aim was to spread education in the area. For the first few years, we all worked diligently, but later some tutors deviated from that purpose and became greedy for money. I left the company in 2015 because my ideals would be ruined. Then in 2016 I set up "Swamiji Mission" with five new tutors for the purpose of improving education. All students were admitted to the mission. That same year (2016) the "Unique Coaching Centre" closed because the Guardians did not admit students there. Trusting me, Joynal Abedin Mondal, Tapas Adhukhan and my brother Sukumar Ghosh, the Guardians enrolled the students in the "Swamiji Mission". The path of Swamiji mission began. But due to the problem of time Tapas Sadhukhan, and the pressure of time, a lot of tuition, a responsible teacher Joynal could no longer devote time to the mission. Thanks to Tapas Sadhukhan and Joynal for the part of this mission. In the meantime, after two years establishing of Swamiji Mission, when two tutors of the mission tried to turn education into a business, they were dispelled from the mission and new tutors were appointed. To improve the reading quality of the students, to motivate them, how to prepare their lesson before the exams, how to evaluate themselves before the final exams, I with Samir Dutt (Dada), Prabir Roy and Joynal Abedin Mandal jointly organized "Srishti Talent Search Exam" in 2017. We succeeded to inspire a lot of students during three years but due to Corona (COVID 19) exams had to be postponed for two years (2020 and 2021). We are all hopeful that the "Srishti Talent Search Exam" will return with its past glory in 2022. Classes VI to XII are underway with "Srishti Talent Search Exam for Senior" and plans are underway to launch "Srishti Talent Search Exam for Junior" with Class One to Five soon.
My new step:
For a long time wish of the students, I have arranged special classes for Spoken English, Competitive Examination, Degree Level (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com English - LCC- Compulsory English) and for English Medium students from this year (2021). Even though I arranged classes earlier, it was closed for some time due to time constraints, now I am able to arrange to take classes one day a week, thinking about the problems of the students.

Where the English Centre currently stands:
With love and blessings of all, the number of students in my English Centre is increasing every year. I have got the opportunity to teach more than 10,763 students from 88 (eighty eight) villages and 29 schools till 05.01.2022. And many good students of "English Centre" have established in life for making good results: they are working in different organizations. There are many who are about to complete MBBS course, are engineering, there are many who are involved in education, have been teachers, are in charge of administration, are working in different offices, Many are studying for competitive exams I am proud of them and I am very proud that they were students of English Centre. I love every student equally, I will always remember every student –
“I promise I will remember all of you forever.”
“English is my heart,
Students are my heartbeats,
Learning English is my aim,
Teaching English is dream.”
Reasons behind reaching the top of my English Centre Only reason behind reaching the top level of English Centre is the success of my Old Students, their faith and trust in English Centre, and the adoption of the English Centre. I founded the centre just, but my English centre has reached this place for my students’ love. Total credit goes to my dear students. It is impossible to express in words the role of those who are studying at present here. The name of the centre is also spreading around. They are learning English which they are acknowledging everywhere, that’s why the name of the centre is spreading more. I sincerely thank my old students and present students for this success of my English Centre. My sincere regards and best wishes to those who will come to my English Centre to learn English in future.
My goal is to: 1) Encourage my students to study so that they can build a bright future and improve their character. I am teaching how to deal with classmates, junior and senior to them. I am sure that my students will do well in the exams and make their parents happy and proud.
2) Provide a learning environment that assesses academic achievement, high moral standards, self-discipline and mutual respect for culture, opinions and values of others.
3) Focus on the overall development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, mental and physical.
4) Provide a learning environment where all students are encouraged to actively participate and where students realize that making mistakes is an important part of the learning process.
5) Provide necessary support to enable students to be confident, successful, independent.
6) Provide a rigorous curriculum that develops critical thinking skills, challenging each student to try their best.
7) Provide a safe, comfortable learning environment where students feel safe, happy and caring.

29. “To move forward in life, just think positively. No need to think negatively. Critics will think negatively. If you think negatively, they will become otiose.”
30. “It is easy to learn but difficult to teach.”
31. “Teachers’ knowledge is nothing but the combination of knowledge of the students they teach and even they learn to them.”
32 “A teacher is the Sun that brings hopes and possibilities and also plants the seed of confidence in the mind of the learners.”

My views on the teacher-student relationship:
Teachers and students are deeply connected. This relationship develops only through the exchange of knowledge. There are teachers because there are students, students are being made because there are teachers. The student-teacher relationship is inextricably linked, and this relationship is built naturally.
The main duty / responsibility of a teacher is to combine the mind and attention of his students. If he can combine both mind and attention then the student will one day reach the pinnacle of success.
If a teacher reads the mind of a student, he will gain more knowledge than the knowledge he will gather reading all the books in the world. A student is a book in which a teacher can get all knowledge. The more the teacher analyzes the students, the more knowledge he will gain.

The only aim in life of a teacher is to guide his students the right way, to show them the way to reach the right goal. Again the only goal in the life of the students should be to follow the path guide by teachers, to follow his advice because we know that our society is completely useless without teachers. So I think - “A teacher is the Sun that brings hopes and possibilities and also plants the seed of confidence in the mind of the learners.”
And let's talk a little bit about the results. Maybe many times you will see that your classmates have done better than you but if you analyze well then you will see that your classmates study 5 minutes more than you. And talent is in everyone, just avail it on time, if you avail time properly, study properly, study carefully without wasting time, then talent will come out automatically, everyone has talent.
Maybe not everyone has the same talent but if you take advantage of the opportunity you get to study, you too will become talented. A. P. J. Kalam said, “All of us do not have equal talent. But we have the equal opportunity to develop our talents.”
The deeper the students become attached to the teacher, the more their knowledge develops. There are many students who think that teachers don’t love them, it is a completely wrong idea. A teacher loves all students equally. In my experience I have realized that a bad or good student depends entirely on his / her mind, the one whose mind can work actively becomes a good student. Students will study hard and then they will reach the top. In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says: 'Karmanyev-adhikarste ma falesu kadachan', which means, 'Be active, never be inactive, and do not react to the results of work.'

Today I notice a lack of love. If you love a little, you will see that the relationship will become stronger. We know that students are nothing without teachers. *The first teacher in my life is my parents, whom I have lost for a long time. I bow at the feet of those whom I have lost for a long time. No student can achieve success in life without a teacher. The deeper the student's relationship with the teacher, the greater the success in life because when we are born we are born with some innate intellects. Then knowledge that we acquire is given by our teachers. Our first teachers are parents, then private tutors and school teachers. Quran says “"Allaji Allama Biklam Allamal Insa Namlam Yalam…" (Translated word for word)
The role of everyone in our lives is immense which is impossible to express in words. We have no existence without teachers. Jesus says in the Bible, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
Students, you have all the strength you need to make a name for yourself. In order to reach a place in education, you have to increase the strength of mind, you can curve your name by studying. The contribution of education that you will leave in your student life so that people will remember you for hundreds of years. Swami Vivekananda said, “All power is within you. You can do anything, everything.”
We know that education helps us to understand what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is bad. Education plays a great role in everyone's life. Proper education helps students to build up a good character. Students who receive the right education, always respect their teachers, their parents. Vivekananda said, "We want education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, intellect is expanded and by which one can stand on his own feet."
I would like to tell all the students to get the right education. Also, strengthen the relationship between you and your teachers. One thing to keep in mind is that teachers always consider students as their own children. They always pray for your well-being. They will never lead you astray. They show you the right path.
I urge all parents and guardians to make your children respect teachers from infancy. In this way a good teacher-student relationship will be created and this good relationship is very much needed at all times. So, I hope students must follow the path guided by teachers, parents and private tutors.
In this way one will become a well-educated, honest person. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose said, “I am a man in whom all the past will be embodied but the present man. And? And I will be the creator of the future and the shaper of the future. ” (Translated word for word from a Bengali quotation by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose).
We have to move forward in life by following the nectar words of these great people and build a beautiful India.

Familiarity with eminent personalities

During my long journey, I have been enriched by conversations with many eminent persons and educators, eminent teachers of several schools, and private tutors. Private tutor: Especially Utpal Da (Utpal Basu) relied on me at the beginning of tuition used to send students to me and I was able to teach them English and they succeeded in making good results which spread the name of the English. Many many thanks to Utpalda for trusting me.
In particular, I am indebted to all the teachers of Sarishadanga Dr. Shyamaprasad High School, the Headmaster, the acquaintance with the retired teachers. You all know what kind of conversation I have with whom, so I do not mention the names.
I am overwhelmed with conversations with eminent educators at the National and International levels (whom I have already mentioned). I am overwhelmed by the conversation with Manish Gaur Sir, MD of K.I.T.E.S.Education and former ISRO scientist Dr. T. P. Sasikumar sir.

Sadness of my life
I may not have achieved as much success. I have just achieved national and international success in the world of tuition and education. But the only sadness in my life is that my parents could not feel this success.
My perception
“I am not a teacher, I am always learning as a student does. So whatever I do in my student life, the contribution I make in the world of education, let people remember me for hundreds of years.”
